Indian Head Massage

After Treatment Information

Thank you for taking the time to read this leaflet,

Your body continues to benefit from the treatment for approximately 24 hours afterwards, I suggest the following guidelines to gain the greatest benefits:

  • Try to relax for a few hours after your massage (or as much as you can spare, anything is better than nothing).

  • Drink plenty of water (this helps to rid the body of toxins that may have been released during the massage).

  • Avoid rigorous exercise for 24 hours.

  • Reduce caffeine intake.

  • Avoid alcohol for 24hrs

  • Try to cut down on smoking (if relevant)

  • To gain full benefit from any oils, please avoid bathing or showering for at least 8 hours.

  • Some essential oils are photosensitive so sunbathing or using sun beds need to be avoided (check what oil blend has been used).

These guidelines will help you to benefit from continued relaxation and allow your body to rest.  Your treatment has helped to detoxify your body, this will be even more effective by decreasing caffeine, alcohol and smoking.

Occasionally, you may experience some reactions when your body begins its self-healing process and elimination of toxins.  These may include:

  • Frequent visits to the toilet to enable your body to get rid of waste

  • Runny nose and/or cough as your body rids itself of toxins

  • Slight rash as your skin rebalances and rids itself of toxins

  • Perspiration as your body excretes waste

  • Headaches

  • Conditions which have been suppressed may flare up temporarily before they heal.

  • Deep sleep or difficulty sleeping with vivid dreams.

These reactions are only temporary and clear within 24 hours.  They are positive signs that your body has responded to the treatment and is rebalancing itself.

Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.   If you are concerned about any symptoms, please contact a doctor or medical professional.
